System Overview
The Predictive Fraud Intelligence System (PFIS) is an AI-powered fraud prevention platform commissioned by the Financial Intelligence Centre. It is designed to monitor and evaluate financial transactions in real time across banking, mobile money, and digital payment infrastructure.
Unlike conventional fraud systems that respond reactively after fraudulent activity has occurred, PFIS employs a proactive, predictive approach. By continuously learning the behavioural patterns of each user, PFIS can identify subtle deviations that may signal manipulation or unauthorised access โ often before the customer even realises they are being targeted.
